I am a local, well established and fully qualified Gas Safe Heating and Plumbing Engineer based in Carshalton, with in excess of 26 years’ experience.

I carry out all the work myself ensuring that you receive good workmanship with a clean, polite and friendly service with the utmost importance being that you get a top class job at a competitive price.

I am a registered Worcester Bosch installer and can offer a five year guarantee on boiler installations.

I specialise in the installation of quality combination/regular boilers, full or part central heating installations and upgrades as well as any type of plumbing from tap washers to full bathroom re-fits including tiling etc.

I also carry out Landlord Certificates for a Mitcham based Charity-run housing development and have also worked for the Police, Army, RAF and the Government over the years.

Fixing hot water fault

Richard is a true Star * He has done a few jobs for me in my flat since I moved in 5 years ago - from fitting a complete new bathroom and separate W/C, sorting hot water and clearing a block in the pipe that caused flooding in my kitchen. He is the second person on my speed dial (after my Dad :-)) when I have any plumbing issues and always goes out of his way to fit me in during his busy week (especially making an effort to work around my odd shift pattern). He is always prompt and gets the job fixed asap. Definitely recommend him to others. :-)

Fitted new kitchen mixer tap

Fixed leaking tap feed to washing machine

Friendly and efficient service from Richard Tarry, he was most helpful over the phone, prompt fixing of the leaky tap fitting and even replaced our old washing machine filter pipe. Very happy with the repair work. Would definitely recommend to others and will definitely call again if we need any plumbing work in the future.

Replacement of 7 radiators; powerflush and boiler service

Richard carried out a major upgrade of our heating system, replacing seven radiators and thermostatic valves, and replacing our hot water tank. Although the work took a little longer than expected, Richard kept us informed along the way.He did an excellent, high quality job, taking time at every stage to explain to us what needed doing, and any changes to the job as it developed. We're really pleased with the end result and are grateful to Richard for the extra time he took to make sure that the system was working correctly.

Fixing and commissioning a condensing boiler

Completely satisfied. Mr. Tarry fixed my old boiler 10 years ago and I was then satisfied with their work. With that in mind I managed to get a quote and an early fixing date commence work that he completed efficiently causing me minimum disruption to us. Work is neat and I am satisfied with his competence. Therefore I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Repair to hot water timing switch / fix air lock.

It is so reassuring to find a local trades person you can rely on. Mr. Tarry provides very good value for money. It is clear he takes great pride in the service he provides and my wife and I would have no hesitation in giving him first refusal in any further work we need. He was tidy and not only did he finish the work to a high standard but took time to explain what he was doing and why it needed to be done. Furthermore I would be happy to leave him to work in my home alone.
