Property refurbished.
At the beginning of June 06, I was in the process of purchasing a new property in Hove. Further to surveys I had done, I was led to believe that certain work needed to be carried out. I contact a couple of Building Companies and was given very different quotes - who never followed up on them either and where not very helpful and I got the feeling were maybe taking advantage of a single woman by themselves.
I found Kevin Viney's details through the internet and called. Kevin spent a considerable time talking to me and assured me that he would go and view the property as soon as possible. Due to my work commitments, it was difficult for me to contact the estate agents to arrange this. Kevin advised that he would arrange everything for me and did so. Within a day I had a sensible quote for the work and agreed to use Kevin's company. Whilst the purchase was going through, Kevin kept in regular contact with me - always advising of when he could fit me in.
Finally I moved in and Kevin came to see me a day later. He was very polite and friendly and I felt that I could trust him. He arranged for the work to be done a couple of weeks later. He sent around his team who were very respectful of my property and completed the work with no mess or rubbish left behind and the work was very good quality.
Again due to my work commitments is was difficult to meet with Kevin or his foreman to settle the balance and discuss the work done - however we arranged to meet prior to their normal work hours which was extremely helpful and meant I could get to work on time.
I have not hesitation in recommending Kevin and Rainbow Building Services. They are a friendly, trustworthy, polite and knowledgeable company and I will always go back to use them for advise or further works.

Earlier this year he installed a new kitchen and bathroom.
I was extremely happy with the work that Kev Viney did for me.
I found the work to be of a high quality and he was very honest and reliabale.

To build a single storey extension
I would not recommend this company for any building work. I found the level of service poor and three members of staff difficult to deal with. In my opinion If it had not been for the freelance member of staff, the project would have been even more of a nightmare than it actually was. Building project became such that Trading Standards had to become involved to rectify the issues, which are now finally completed. In my opinion if the matter had been dealt with better and the communication had been good then it would not have caused me so much hassle. I am so glad the building is now complete and that I never have to see anyone from this company again.

The problem we had with the garage extension/summer house build was the fibre glass roof only. We applied this product in the winter (worst winter for 100 years) unfortunately it leaked after about 2 weeks of the completed build.
There was a breakdown in communication between both parties, due to the fact that I was not allowed to carry out the roof remedial work initially so I, not the customer instructed trading standards to get involved in mediation, so I could go back and replace the roof, which was signed off by the product I used.
I feel the comments made are unfair and do not reflect the professionalism of standards of my firm, which can be verified by references and comments on previous posts.
