A 'simple' job of connecting a new washing machine into my fitted kitchen units (to replace the broken one) turned out to be not so simple. The way that the units had been installed made it next to impossible. The access holes were badly positioned and too small, and the original installers had to use an extra length feed hose which had kinked due to being forced through. So, having used Checkatrade, I called out Lloyd and I'm very pleased that I did. He did a really neat and professional job of changing the access holes and then fitting the new machine. The result is that I now have standard length hoses, with a sensible routing at the back of the units and easy access. An excellent job. I thoroughly recommend him.

I was told that someone from Range Appliances would arrive between 9am and 1pm so I was delighted when their representative arrived at 9.40am and saved me waiting in all morning. The problem with my dishwasher was quickly diagnosed and as the parts were readily available, my dishwasher was fixed within the hour at what we felt was a reasonable cost. I was also given some very useful advice about maintenance. I will certainly call Range Appliances should I have a problem in the future.

First time I have used Range Appliances found by using ' Checkatrade'. Excellent came the same day I called them. Trevor arrived promptly at agreed time. Quickly established that my Washing Machine was not worth repairing due to estimated repair costs/ other potential mechanical problems. Then checked / and quickly repaired the tumble dryer. Gave me price of repair before he started doing the work. Really good service, would highly recommend them.

The washing was still in the machine. Pump broken therefore could not empty water to get washing out. Lloyd was brilliant in pumping out the water manually and retrieving the washing before fitting a new pump and returning it to full working order within 20 minutes. Would recommend him to everyone.

I chose trader because of their high rating on Checkatrade site. The trader came at agreed time and was friendly enough. He checked machine and found there was an electrical fault. Trader said he would ring back within the hour to let me know cost, this never happened. He simply took my money and ran. I am not impressed with this service.

I have spoken to the customer and said that her comments were quite justified. I have offered my apologies for the break down in communications. The customer was told by the engineer that it probably was not worth repairing and was charged for the visit and promised an exact estimate, which was to be phoned through later. Unfortunately the telephone number we had to contact the customer was incorrect and made it impossible to telephone within the hour. There was an intention to visit the customer again that day with the information. Regrettably pressures of the working day did not allow time. We hoped that after a suitable period of time that the customer would call us to see what had happened to her estimate and we could then explain.

I called Range on Friday and by Monday Lloyd Willis had called to do the repair and apologised for the delay! He was prompt, polite and helpful.  The problem was diagnosed quickly and efficiently and the part needed was carried and installed without fuss. He tested the machine and the job was complete in around half an hour. As a footnote I would like to add that today I called Range to ask Lloyd to attend a loose tap seating in our bathroom - he arrived and fixed the problem and declined payment as it didn't take very long. The is a first in my history of dealing with tradesmen - I cannot recommend Range Appliances too highly.
