The customer was given a quoted price which matched the final invoice to compare with others before work started. We are very reasonable priced using skilled labour and quality materials and we feel the low score of 5 does not reflect this. With all the other scores at 10/10 including estimating we feel justified in saying this was a job well done.

Richardson Fencing Ltd, were truly surprised and disappointed to receive such a low scores from a valued domestic customer. The final bill given to the customer did match the original quotation, however they were given a second bill for the additional work verbally agreed with customer which was not included in the original quote. The customer refused to pay the additional bill, we realise we should have given the customer a revised written quotation covering the additional work they requested. We apologise for this mistake. We offered the customer a 50% reduction in order to resolve the matter but this was not accepted by the customer. Four weeks after the work was completed, the customer complained that the work was substandard, it is our opinion that this was being used as a tool so as to not pay the final bill. Mr Richardson attended a total of three appointments after the work was completed in order to inspect the work and try to come to an agreement with the customer, at no point was the customer hung up on, nor was any appointment with the customer missed. Richardson Fencing Ltd, believe there is nothing more we can do to rectify this situation and the negative feedback shown above, we feel it is totally unsubstantiated and totally out of character in relation to the other extensive feedback that we have within our Checkatrade page.
