Remove wall and refit kitchen (replacing RSJ and replacing window)
Steve and Tony were known to us from a relative,
who they had previously done work for. So we already knew their work was to a
very high standard... They didn't disappoint. This was not a trivial job (in my
layman?s opinion, anyway). The mains electricity needed to be moved, Velux
windows fitted, a new window frame made and fitted, a door bricked-up. Not to
mention all of the tasks that need to be done when taking out an internal
load-bearing wall. Initially they were able to give some invaluable advise and
ideas on the best way to tackle the job - which were then used to create a
detailed plan. We were then given a detailed breakdown of the work and
associated pricing, and given the opportunity to make adjustments to kitchen
designs and fittings. Once everything was agreed, the work started when they
said it would. It's never easy being without a kitchen ? especially with a two
month old baby ? but a combination of realistic time lines and excellent
communication meant that we were never let down by any broken promises. We
planned to be without a kitchen for the specified time, and we were moving back
in on the exact day we'd planned. Ultimately it all boils down to the finished
article. Sitting here in our beautiful new kitchen I can find nothing to fault
it: The workmanship is second-to-none, it looks great, and it's practical! We
now have the kitchen that we wished for. We would have absolutely no hesitation
in recommending Roberts and Whitehorn. Thank you, from some very happy
customers.
