The customer was delighted with the installation and paid promptly for the completed job, mentioning to me that he had left some positive feedback for us.
There was a broken component on the fire, we notified our supplier and ordered the replacement straight away. The faulty parts are due to be changed tomorrow.
We cannot prevent faulty parts from the manufacturers and always rectify the problems as soon as we obtain the replacement parts.
There is little more that we can do to prevent this type of incident, we could open every single box and check each item, but from my experience most customers quite justifiably don’t like having opened boxes brought in to their homes on the basis that they think they may be getting inferior products.

Thank you for the positive scores. The thermostat is a user control item and is usually adjusted by the customer frequently to adjust the desired room temperature. I will mention to our engineer the fact the thermostat was left on too high, sorry for any inconvenience.
