He showed up on the first day, left after about an hour of hedge trimming, with a semi broken garden fence, said he would be back with a wood chipper but failed to show. I called and requested he come back and either fix or prop up the fence to avoid any further damage, he said he would but failed to show. Showed up on Monday and the fence was beyond repair so had to be replaced. Patio had to be laid. It has been done but hasn't set at an angle for the water to drain to the front, there is no drainage at my request but this would not have helped anyway as there is standing water by the house wall. Once the patio was laid they did not finish it by using suitable grout or paving joint sand, he said this would be done later. When the fence was replaced it was replaced with cheap panels, the posts which can easily be moved with a light touch. The posts stick out over the top of the panels. The fence and the paving grout has still not been done. I cannot not get a hold of the trader and the work remains incomplete.

They were all very polite, chatty and helpful. They cut down the trees for us, trimmed the hedges we wanted to keep, took down 2 sheds and cleared all the greenery away. We had some 'junk' that needed disposing off and I thought they would do that but of course they get charged for it, so it cost a little more but at least they took it away. The cost was very reasonable and we are very happy for their assistance.

I took the contractor's advice on what was required for a permeable parking area. During the work he recommended a 3 metre drainage pipe be installed. The pipe soon showed through the dress stones. He eventually returned but still did not install the pipe deep enough. I requested he return but he did not . I sent an email with photo of the pipe and requested it be removed and my payment returned - no response. It is my opinion, to avoid using this contractor for any ground works.
