We knew our boiler needed replacing soon and had become noisey recently. We invited SOS to service and they said it would be throwing good money after bad and best to replace the boiler. We were very happy to go with the quote and the work was completed promptly. We gave a 6 for tidiness but only because the wife has OCD!!

After inheriting a rather antiquated system from a previous owner which included a gas leak in the house I searched for help , after a rather unsatisfactory service from a national gas company, I found Barry at S0S heating and never looked back. Barry and Graham are reliable , tidy, very fair , helpful and there quality of work is exceptional. From now on I will only use SOS as they actually go that extra mile. Highly recommended.

My call for help resulted in the engineer arriving within the hour, which was outstanding. I needed help locating a fault in the heating system control circuits. Sadly, the result of the visit was that my boiler was condemned and the gas capped off to make the installation safe. This was a difficult call, but the engineer did his job thoroughly and professionally.

We supplied the bricks for the outside wall and they bricked it up the hole once the gas extractor had been removed. Very tidy new brickwork. Old fireplace also taken away. We chose SOS not because they were the cheapest, but because they were the best. We needed to replace the ancient boiler in our new house and did get cheaper quotes, but were worried that those quotes didn't match what we needed (increased pressure to the bathrooms and - crucially - a system to cope as our family grows and we modify the house in the next 10+ years). SOS arrived promptly and gave a written, detailed quote at the first meeting - we were also reassured that our Worcester boiler will have a longer warranty than usual because they are a registered Worcester installer. Once they arrived to start the work we decided we wanted to upgrade our plans - they coped well, ordered in new boiler parts, and still completed the job within the timeframe despite the last minute changes. They were friendly and helpful throughout - we moved out during the work and trusted them with the keys to the house. SOS are exactly what you'd like to find in a new town - a local, family-run firm who do quality work with the minimum of fuss or disruption. Recommended.

Boiler was diagnosed 'unstable' and 'dangerous' by another company. Barry was suspicious of diagnosis and agreed to come round at v. Short notice to check. He managed to fix boiler in 5 mins. Another problem with water pump 3 days later. Again Barry came out at v. Short notice and fixed it.
