Kitchen floor tiled.
I'm so pleased I selected Simon to tile my kitchen floor. The job wasn't straightforward as the floor was half solid, half plywood. To make matters even more complicated, the solid screeded floor was in poor condition. Simon knew how to overcome the problems and self-levelled the floors before commencing tiling. All the time he was here he was polite, cheerful and accommodating, consulting on any aspect of the job where the customer might have some input. Simon and his assistant were on time and tidied up after themselves every day they were here. Like a lot of tiling jobs, the work couldn't be completed in one go and it was no trouble for Simon to make several visits, with no delay in between. Recommended.

Tiled a bathroom (2/3 of the whole surface area).
Simon did a really great job for me! I'm someone who tends to plan and re-plan at the same time, but when I said I wasn't absolutely sure what I was needing this was no problem at all. He made excellent suggestions and was happy to spend time discussing various ideas with me. Simon struck me as a very trustworthy person so when it came to doing the work I just gave him the key and went off to work. He then managed his own time to ensure he was done for when my plumber was booked. The result was so good I had to keep going in there just to have a look around. For the 7th time. That hour! I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending ST Tiling. Even friends and the plumber commented on what an excellent job he'd done.

I would recommend S T Tiling and Decorating to any family member or friend and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They were friendly, tidy and professional. We are incredibly fussy and found them faultless.

Tiling bathrooms and downstairs floor.
Simon was found through Checkatrade. He started work at our house following acceptance of his quote. He did some of the work but then failed to turn up on several occasions and did not contact me to let me know why. When I chased him he told me that bits needed to be done i.E. Plumbing/carpentry, so I dealt with them straight away. Over Christmas he was barely there but kept contacting me for money. As soon as I paid he did not come back. I called him and left messages several times. He said he would not be able to come back for weeks so I said we would leave bad feedback as we were not happy with the service provided. The work he did carry out was to an ok standard but he was completely unreliable and difficult to communicate with. I would not recommend his services.

I feel the comments and scores are unjustified. At my quote stage I asked the customer to have everything I pointed out ready for when I started, this was not done straight away, as she says and this is why I took time out as I could not get on with the work. This resulted in the job taking 5 weeks instead of 2 and a half. I repeatedly asked the customer for plumbing and carpentry to be done, this was never done. I found the customer very hard to contact and only saw her 3 times in 5 weeks. Money was two weeks overdue and I did contact the customer regarding this by one text and one email. The customer commented to me by text that the master en-suite “looks great”. I was polite at all times and clean and tidy.

Tiled kitchen.
I asked Simon to carry out the work because he seemed a really friendly nice chap. All quotes were more or less the same so this was the deciding factor. He helped me decide what I wanted done and explained clearly the reasons why something were possible etc. Kitchen now looks excellent! Couldn't have asked for more.

Retiling kitchen floor.
Simon did a 1st class job on our kitchen floor! Totally professional, very tidy and completed the work for the price quoted, even though the job was a bit trickier than we first imagined. Our floor looks great, would thoroughly recommend!
