We noticed leaks from three of our radiators, that evening a leaflet dropped through our letter-box offering to do plumbing work. The guy came and estimated, said it'd take half a day to drain the system and that he'd get his wife to call to make an appointment. Three weeks later I was tired of waiting so looked on Checkatrade and found SG Plumbing. Steve Glaister came the next day to estimate. Said he thought he could do the work without draining the system. Emailed the estimate that night which I accepted straight away. Came today at the agreed time. Did the work in 40 minutes. Charged me two-thirds of the price he'd estimated which (I'm guessing now) was probably less than the other guy was going to charge for the half day. I'm absolutely delighted. The only problem with glowing references like this is that anyone reading them might think Steve's my son or something. He's not, he's a skilled, tidy plumber with enough sense to realise that if you do a great job for someone, then they'll be only too pleased (as I am) to recommend him to their friends and anyone else who asks. If I could give 20 out of 10 for each of the criteria I'd not hesitate to do so. Well done Steve, you're restored my lost faith in plumbers!

He isolated the problem really quickly and got about trying to understand the issue with the mixer. He set about opening up some part of the mixer and testing it. Within 30 mins of stepping into the house he knew the exact problem and 5 mins later was finished. I was quite happy with it all to be perfectly honest. I would certainly recommend and use him next time
