A genuine family firm, Shaw and Sons impressed us from start to end with their reliability, commitment, flexibility and attention to detail. They were very approachable throughout the work and happy to discuss any aspect of the job, making many practical suggestions to source the appropriate materials and to provide a high quality ‘finish’. We would strongly recommend them to anyone considering a building project in their home.

Richard and his team go above and beyond to ensure that you get the best job possible. They work six days a week and try to ensure that every day you can see that the work is moving forward. Lewis and Miles are both friendly and tidy and work hard to ensure that they keep your house tidy as they progress with the work. Richard even lowered the roof of the extension once it was on as I was unhappy with it, which was really beyond the remit of his work but he wanted to ensure that I was truly happy with the end result. They worked hard with the kitchen to find me samples and quotes to ensure I got what I wanted at the best price possible. I really cannot fault the work that they have carried out for me and would recommend their work to anyone without question.

The work was completed to a very high standard, on time and in budget. Richard Shaw and his son Lewis were extremely helpful, courteous and reliable. We particularly liked their flexibility and willingness to discuss each phase of the work and to really listen to what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would recommend them highly and without reservation. We actually miss them being around - and you couldn't say that about many builders.

The work was completed to the highest of standards with complete liaison throughout the process to minimise mess (as much as one can when removing walls) and an excellent understanding our particular house having completed a number of others in the road. The end product exceeded our expectations to see it visit their website. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering any building works.
