We would have no hesitation in recommending Barry. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work done and simply amazed at how our old drive has cleaned up. The work carried out was just as we had asked for and appears to be of a high quality. He worked quickly and tidily and was always polite. However, trader initially said the work would start on the Monday but told us on the Sunday that it would be pushed back until Wednesday however he did not show up on Wednesday we could not get through on the phone to him. He arrived on Thursday and the work was completed in the two days he'd quoted however would have liked to have been kept more informed on his arrival.

Barry is a very good communicator. He worked hard to make the drive-in fit with what I wanted and at the same time asserted his professionalism . He is a perfectionist who sticks with every problem until it is solved. He and John made me a really beautiful area of block paving. The kerb stone borders make a great finish. It gives me pleasure every time I open the front door and see it. My car likes it, too - it'll get cleaned more often! The neighbours think it's smashing!

The job was for approx 30 Square meters of block paving, 10 square meters of shingle and a soak away. The Block Paving had to be keyed into the existing drive this has been done very well. In addition the Sewer Cover had to be lowered and an inset lid installed. Although the area sloped downhill the new level of the inset lid to the sewer is seamless. The shingle area in front of the house was for decorative purpose more than practical. Even so they dug down as deep as for the block paving and filled the bottom with hardcore so that it is suitable for walking on and having a planter or two. Best of all they came in £100 under their estimate.

We are so glad we went with the quote given by Barry, the quality of work was extremely high, he was so in tune with what we were trying to achieve - in fact he had some marvelous ideas for finishing touches which really made for a top class job. Barry did a good job, was very helpful and gave practical recommendations, rather than suggesting what costs the most. He even did a few extra bits - extra new slabs, building a step, replacing a drain cover without charging more than he quoted. He was a very pleasant tradesman to deal with, and we would recommend.
