Reliable, punctual and professional. And very tidy. Lovely guy, what most impressed me was I was given 2 quotes after measuring the window. One was for more expensive tinted and one for normal. After finding out what type it was, I was quoted for the less expensive (with a coating) despite it being obvious I wouldn't have known the difference. Hence trustworthy as well. Highly recommended.

I contacted Howard based on feedback provided on this site and he was great. I left a voicemail and he returned my call the next day, we arranged for him to give a quote for the work but he was actually able to complete the job there and then which was brilliant. He worked with minimal fuss or disruption. He was very friendly and polite and I felt quite happy for him to be in the house. All in all a very nice bloke who I recommend - we will certainly be using him in the future if needed.

Great workmanship - you could hardly tell Howard had been, except for the new window! I previously had a quote from another glazier which was more than double what Howard charged so was extremely pleased with his price and even though it was a very awkward job he did not complain and charged the quoted price. I would recommend this firm very highly.

I cannot recommend Howard highly enough! I was impressed from the offset when Howard couldn't take my call to discuss coming to do give a quote but said he would call me back... past experience with other workmen left me feeling sceptical however Howard called me back within the hour. He then arrived to quote when he said he would and what is more was the cheapest quote by over £500! In short Howard is a star... a nice man to have in the house and meticulous with his work. My only negative thing is that I wish we had found him before we had done the rest of the sash windows refurbished! Call Howard you wont regret it.

Howard replaced ten double-glazed units (in which water had entered) in three aluminium windows all about 30 years old. The windows now look as good as new. Howard did a very good job even though one window was inaccessible by a ladder and he had to remove the window frames to change the units. Although this took longer than he expected, he kept to his original quotation which was very competitive compared to other quotes I had received.. I would certainly recommend Howard. My large French window had dropped on it's hinges was difficult to close. The original installers quoted a considerable sum and several weeks wait just to look at it. I contacted Howard and booked an appointment for the following morning, he arrived promptly and was a pleasure to meet. He quickly fixed the problem and charged much less than his estimate. I will be using Howard again in the near future, and would happily recommend him.

The loveliest man and the most trustworthy tradesman. Never did I feel that I was being made a mug of, he didn't try to convince me of anything that didn't need to be done. It was easy to make an appointment. On the day, Howard sent a text to let me know he was on his way. He explained what needed to be done, and how long it would take, and then did a great job. In the end, it took longer than expected but the bill was the original quote and the windows work really well now. Very easy to have in your home and I wouldn't hesitate to get in touch again when I have more work to do.

I cannot speak highly enough of Howard. I had a tricky job; a partially rotten sash window which needed to be repaired. Two other glaziers told me there was no possible way to repair it and that I would need to replace the entire window whilst a third glazier took one look at it and simply didn’t want to know. I called Howard after reading his very positive feedback on Checkatrade and was not disappointed. He managed to repair the window - which now looks as good as new – both quickly and at a very reasonable cost. He even primed the new wood for me free of charge. Very impressive. A really nice guy too.

We wanted to restore the original style leaded glass in our front door, which had been replaced with some standard obscure glass. Howard did an excellent job, matching the design to surviving glass windows in other doors in the street, and using the same patterned glass and colours that survived in some panels on our door. It really looks wonderful. Everything was left neat and tidy, and he was extremely courteous. Thoroughly recommended, a really excellent craftsman.

The draft proofing has been a revelation, no more rattling windows and cold drafts! His draft-proofing of our old victorian sashes has transformed them - not just for drafts but street noise too. Howard has been absolutely superb with all my dealings with him. He originally came to quote me for the work and measure up. Said he would call me to follow-up which he did later that day. Very good quality work, was missing the little plastic covers that cover the screw heads on the handles at the time the work was first completed but went and got some and returned later that day to make sure the job looked right.

BI am very pleased with the service I recieved from Howard Burcombe of Surrey and South London Glassworks. When my bathroom window was broken by a stone he not only replaced it with a like for like replacement but he even cleaned all the broken glass from the inside and the outside. He was also very polite and patient with me due to my deafness.

Howard was contacted after 21:00 on Saturday 30th. Phone answered straight away and he agreed to attend on Sunday between 10:00 and 11:00. He gave an estimate for the work. On Sunday arrived 10:00. He explained what he would need to do and explained available options. We agreed the price which was in line with his quote on the Saturday evening. He was polite, honest and the finished job (although not large) was completed professionally.
