Fitted new garage door.
The company arrived on time to find our garage full (but manageable).Tthey stipulated that within the health and safety rules, there has to be a certain amount of room to fit the door.  This required my wife to move boxes and tools (non of which are heavy). The company 'helpfully' stood and watched, quoting 'health and safety'. We will not be recommending them to anyone at all.

We are sorry to hear that the customer was unhappy with the service. We do include our request for a clear working space within the garage when we send out an order conformation/method statement when the door is ordered. Two weeks before installation in this case. There are two reasons for not moving a large amount of items, 1) is as he quite rightly states, Health and Safety, box's could contain anything heavy or fluids and the box's are not always sturdy, 2) Is that should any items be damaged by the bottom falling out the box or claims to have been damaged in moving them our fitters would get the blame. Ming Vase, Capie de Monte china all sorts are stored in the garage, we are just trying to minimise issues. Which is why we make it clear at the point of order we need clear space to work. Its also disappointing to see that although as the customer states we arrived on time we only scored 6 out of 10 for time keeping what would we have had to do to score 10. We will endeavour to stick to follow health and safety guidelines all the time our insurance company tell us to. We are deeply disappointed that an over sight on this customers part in reading the order confirmation lead to dissatisfaction with our service. Its never good to have dissatisfied customers, we will look at ways of highlighting this aspect more clearly in the future.
