Really great - had contacted them from a recommendation from a friend who used them a month or so before. They packed up the old property quickly and safely and took it all off to storage for a while. Then delivered it all to the new place! Really friendly, helpful and reliable. They were careful with all of our stuff and were nice to have around. The old property was in the basement and parking wasn't directly outside but they organised themselves and all was well. Nice people and v friendly. Would use them again (although hopefully we won't be moving again for a while yet)!

Although late in arriving to vacate in Littlehampton, the three worked very hard to load the van and vacate the property by noon as arranged with the estate agents. This was somewhat stressful as I also had to get to the airport to fly to Northern Ireland that afternoon. The move into Ballygally was very efficient, two men had taken the overnight ferry and were at the bungalow by 8:00 a.M. The preparation for the move was made very easy as boxes had been delivered in good time to allow for packing. I would have no reservations about recommending the service, particularly as they were so much cheaper than other quotes,

Fraser who we dealt with was really polite and always promptly returned calls and emails. We did go for other competitive quotes but Sussex Removals were not only the most competitive but the most on the ball as well. On the day the move was hard work and the guys did an amazing job getting all our stuff in. What really impressed me however was although there was some minor damage - not really anyone's fault it was just so hectic on the day, without hesitation Fraser sorted it all out. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately the team were 45 mins late to the time stated. Does not sound much but when you are stressed about the move it does not help. Must say the 3 guys made up the time and finished the move out in about 2 hours 15 mins. The move into the bungalow was not straight forward due to access and awkward corners. The guys managed all the problems very well.

Fantastic work! We consolidated two homes into one and it went smoothly. First they packed our flat in London and took it into storage until we found a new family home. When we sold our old house they packed and moved all of the contents of our old home followed by all the flat furniture and contents out of storage into our new home. I think in total they had around 9 van loads to pack and move into our new home. All of the work was done with extraordinary care and courtesy. We felt quite sad when the move was over as the boys had become part of the family. Despite the fact that they had to pack absolutely everything, we had no damage and they were extremely helpful in placing all our furniture and boxes exactly where we wanted them. The boys were very polite and helpful and Frazer was excellent in keeping us informed and in organising the right amount of manpower on all the different dates. Friends and family that helped unpack were all full of praise too. Definitely the best removal firm they had seen for a long time!

Fantastic company. Competitive quote. We had the whole house packed by the Sussex Removals team and moved the next day. At all times, they were very polite, professional and careful with our belongings. The packing and move took place on the hottest September day on record, and the guys did not complain one bit. They just got on with it. They were extremely helpful when we asked for a few heavy items to be moved around from one room to another in our new home, they dismantled beds and put them together at our new house -made a very good job of it. I would definitely recommend the company to anyone looking for a professional move by people who look after your things as carefully as if they were their own.

Moved a three bed house over one and a half days. Very competitive quote. Crews arrived on time, packing was brilliant and I cannot tell you how polite everyone was. What I was really impressed with was that when things were being unpacked everyone checked things were put in the right place, boxes were placed in rooms in a an orderly way as opposed to being plonked by the door. This made unpacking much easier I was nervous about using this company as they are not part of the British Association of Removers (BAR). The reviews here and my personal experience show that a company can be competitive and still beat the service of larger well known firms who are members of BAR. Small and personal is much better in the case of this company.

The lads were a little late, but kept in touch on the phone to let us know they were on the way. They were very polite and efficient. They didn't even complain about having to carry a wardrobe up two flights of narrow stairs! They took great care moving the furniture and covered the carpets in the new house, as it was raining. The guys started packing the day before the planned move and we were initially a little worried when they finished at around 1.30 that day and there still seemed to be lots to do. We needn't have worried at all as the following day everything was packed, moved and unloaded by 1.30 which we thought was a great result. Work was carried out by a very friendly crew of young men who knew exactly what they were doing, so we just left them alone to get on with it! The ONLY criticism I have was that some of the boxes were put in the wrong rooms in the new house as the boxes had been labeled with a summary of the contents rather than the room they had been packed in and naturally there was duplication of contents (e g Bed linen could have come from any of five places and, inevitably, it often ended up in the wrong room). Move was carried out over two days starting at 08h00 on Tuesday and concluding at 18h00 on Wednesday.

The day was far less stressful than I imagined, thanks to the removal company. I was very impressed with the 'Handy removal check list' (that was attached to the quote e-mailed to us) it came in very useful. To accommodate fitting us in, the work was carried out on 'Easter Sunday' at no extra charge, the four guys worked really hard, and were a pleasure to have around and really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The weather was really hot and sunny, and large furniture needed guiding down 4/5 flights of stairs. Along with packing all the kitchen/dining room, the job was completed in record time, we had every thing in storage by 4.30! This was stored thoughtfully so we could get access to drawers and boxes etc. (as will be there for several months!) All in all we were very pleased with the service at such a reasonable price, and will certainly be using them to move us into our new home when its ready.

An interesting move from a 3 storey Victorian cottage complete with two narrow staircase with tight turns. The parking was across a muddy potholed lane, weather had been awful and wife was heavily pregnant. They arrived on time, everything disappeared into packing cases at amazing speed. The slightly oversized furniture for the rented cottage was extracted with only a single scrape to a bedroom door. Job done! Quickly and efficiently with only the odd muddy footprint.

I cannot recommend Frazer and the boys enough. They moved me from my 1 bed flat to a 3 bed house around a month ago. I found the whole moving experience totally stress free, thanks to the efficiency of the company. From the moment Frazer and James packed up my belongings to the last box being placed in my new home by Rick and Rick - nothing was too much trouble. If you are moving - choose Sussex Removals! We loved this company. From the beginning the communication with Frazer and the team was good and they were very responsive. The removal team of Rick, Rick and Harris were great and really helpful. We had a lot of stuff to move as well as a number of stairs to climb and nothing was too much trouble. They were also friendly and reassuring at what was a really stressful time. Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Answered all my (many) questions up front with patience and professionalism. Very organised in advance and superb on the day of packing and the day of moving. A great bunch of guys, polite, professional, hard working, worked as a team and had a sense of humour too. Would recommend to anyone (would also say that we would use them again but don't fancy moving again in a hurry!)

I found Frazer and his team outstanding - friendly, focussed and efficient . I felt we were all working together making the move stress free from start to finish. The one problem was not of their making - my seller had not vacated the property when I got the keys. But the guys were not phased by this and worked around the stuff without complaint. Frazer and his cohorts were brilliant. They squeezed in the job, despite us moving the date at a few days notice. They were courteous and professional and did some heroic wrestling with the dishwasher! Also the most reasonable quote we had!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Response from Sussex Removals Ltd:
Sussex Removals were asked to quote for a move from Southwater to Horley, however a few weeks later, after the quotation had been submitted the clients requirements changed and they requested storage for three weeks. This of course, encounters a second move out of storage which the customer did not budget for making the total bill more than previously quoted. The customer felt this should still be done for the same amount quoted but we have explained that this involves two separate days for moving and two sets of wages and fuel etc These comments are not based on workmanship but simply a misunderstanding of communication of fees.

Frazer and his team are helpful, kind and considerate. They work very hard and are extremely patient, taking great care with the things they are moving. They also charge a very fair price and I found their packing service a huge additional bonus. I Nothing was too much trouble. They were recommended to me by two friends who had used them. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to take the stress out of moving. I also feel relieved to know that they will move me out of storage at the end of this stressful house moving process.

Frazer and his team moved us first on 7th Dec 2009 and to our permanent home on 4th Aug. They were helpful, efficient and cheerful throughout. They took care with our possessions which included a lot of plants (some very large and awkward). Nothing was damaged and Frazer has been very helpful re packing materials as we've needed to keep some things in storage long term. They also moved a large amount of kitchen units and appliance to storage for us and have agreed to deliver them as and when we're ready to fit them. We've been very happy and would recommend them without hesitation.

The two removal men were efficient, helpful and friendly. They made what could be a very stressful, emotional day an actually very relaxing one! They took apart all the furniture and put it back together at the other end, even putting the sheets on my bed for me! They worked very quickly, even in the scorching heat in Sussex, and then the heavy rain in Gloucestershire! I would definitely recommend this company! Thanks guys, you were fabulous!

Frazer, Rich and the guys were fantastic. We had quotes from five companies. One was obviously already busy as they refused to come and give a quote in person. The others were ok, but were so "professional" in their manner they seemed cold. Sussex Removals seemed to be engaging, competitive in price and they instilled trust. When it came to the move they were courteous, friendly, professional and a joy to have around for a couple of days. We felt confident that they could be trusted and they lived up to that. We knew that moving house is one of the more stressful experiences in life, so we braced ourselves . . . for nothing. The two days of packing, loading, moving and unloading were almost relaxing! They went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. At the end of everything they finished with an "above and beyond" few minutes of work that put a very positive finishing touch on an already positive experience. Everything was packed professionally (so worth paying the small amount extra for that), loaded carefully, transported safely, unloaded carefully. All the guys were kind and friendly to inquisitive children experiencing their first move. All requests were taken seriously. No damage to either property. After unloading almost everything the only damage we've noticed is a crushed DVD case - hardly a disaster. We would highly recommend Sussex Removals to anyone. Thanks guys.

The guys at Sussex Removals were given a tight schedule for loading up as we needed to leave early to catch our ferry. They arrived spot on time and brought extra helpers to make sure they were finished in plenty of time. They are a friendly team who seem to understand the stresses that associate moving home and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work. Nothing broken or scratched either. We would highly recommend anyone moving to the Channel Islands (or anywhere else in fact) to get in touch with them.
