Company Profile

Sussex Woodstoves started in a timber shed in April 1986, a "dying business" bought from a friend retiring to France. Advertising brought our first customer in August - a land-owner whose covenant on the house excluded business use - he bought a massive stove & chimney system for the hunting bothy! In 1993 we moved home to Horsham, with workshops well-protected behind the house.

For about 25 years we have supplied & fitted log & coal-burners, chimneys & liners, into homes, pubs, restaurants, public buildings & workshops. All staff are HETAS-trained, registered & insured. Intended as a cottage business from the outset, we have probably supplied and fitted over 2,000 stoves!

We also do Site-surveys, Technical design, Incident-reports, stove repairs & refurbishment. We either stock or make spare parts to keep older stoves working safely.

Installed a wood burning stove.

We had been let down by another company and called Sussex Wood stoves. Ian came around the very next day to estimate the work. He gave us information the other company hadn't and even saved us money by advising us to have a sweep and inspection done (it transpired we didn't need a flue). When it came to fitting day - Ian was on time and worked diligently to get the job done. We have absolutely no complaints and would recommend him to others. Also - he recommended a company for our hearth - and they were also fantastic.
