To install a replacement boiler to accommodate extra radiators

I have asked T L R to replace the boiler with a sufficiently powered boiler and offered to pay the difference in price between the low powered boiler already installed and a new correctly powered boiler. After an email, letter and phone calls to discuss, they have refused.

22 November 2010Response from T L R Plumbing & Heating Limited:
Following the installation of a new Worcester Bosch boiler for the customer, the new boiler was tested and commissioned in accordance with manufacturers instructions. The system was heat tested, and both domestic H/W and Central Heating, were left in perfect working order, and to the full satisfaction of the customer. The appliance was sized appropriately to suit their household's heating and hot water requirements - with a similar output (slightly higher) than the previously removed model. Following our installation, the customer's had their kitchen extension completed and, during this process, added an additional 2 radiators to the kitchen pipework circuit. The builder had also quoted to replace their boiler, proposing the same model which we used. The new extension radiators have never fully functioned, due to the circuit pipework (which is microbore) not having been increased to suit the new additional load. The customer has had to shut down most other radiators in the property, in order to improve circulation to the undersized kitchen circuit, and has come to the assumption that the boiler is undersized for the system. We have offered to return and demonstrate the faults to the kitchen heating, as well as to provide proof of the new boilers' suitability for their house (by providing an accurate heat loss / requirement calculation). We are disappointed at the customers dissatisfaction, but clearly, but feel that we cannot be responsible for incorrect works provided by others. We remain committed to assist the Morgans in resolving these issues, but to date, any further assistance has been declined.
