A first class prompt and efficient service from quote to completion. This was always going to be a dusty messy job but everywhere was left very clean and tidy (thanks to the liberal use of dust sheets to cover the floors, wardrobes and drawers) and the new ceilings are lovely.

Mark came and skimmed the old artex ceiling then plastered it only to find that due to previous distemper the plaster would not stick. He returned the next day to plasterboard and plaster the ceiling and one wall and stayed late to ensure everything was done. He was polite, tidy, courteous and charged us a very reasonable price for all the work. Cannot thank or recommend him enough.

Mark's level of detail is something of a rarity these days, he takes time to produce a quality of work rather than to make a quick buck. Mark completed the work in the timescale quoted and to budget. As we go through the rest of the house, Mark will be used to complete the other areas. An advantage for us is his ability to tile and plaster to a very high standard, reduces the need for planning separate trades. Highly recommended.

When Mark initially came around to look at the work needing to be done I found him to be very thorough - he explained carefully what needed to be done and we discussed how he would plaster the more awkward parts (behind the radiator, around the boiler etc). It is not always easy having a tradesman in your home if you are home too, but Mark was very pleasant and even asked if I minded him turning his radio on - I said it was nice to be asked! I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I am disappointed that the customer was unhappy with the replacement floor supplied. Unfortunately the customers floor had been damaged which I accepted responsibility for. I had been advised by the manufacturer that the shading of the flooring could be upto 3 shades either side of the original colour. I aim for customer satisfaction at all times and this can be seen from my other customer recommendations.

On stripping wallpaper, I removed a large amount of plaster too ... I found Mark via Checkatrade; he returned my call promptly, provided an accurate quote and a date for the work, and then managed to fit it in earlier than expected. He worked hard from 8 am to 6 pm on a Saturday, did an excellent job on some old and cracked walls, and left everything tidy. He's also a courteous and helpful man, very easy to have in the house.

This man is excellent. His standard of work and attention to detail are of the highest calibre. He explained clearly, any problems encountered along the way, and discussed options for fixing them. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he even cleaned up afterwards! I have already recommended him to 3 people. My only regret is that I didn't known about him sooner!
