I have over 10 years’ experience and although I am based in Steyning, West Sussex, I am prepared to travel to most of Sussex & Surrey.

I can undertake most of your garden requirements:

  • planting through the Autumn & Spring
  • maintenance during the Summer
  • pruning & leaf clearance through the Winter

I also undertake the following:

  • fencing repairs & replacements
  • trellace
  • gates
  • new lawns laid
  • jungle clearances
  • hedge cutting
  • shrub & boarders planted
  • shingle-wood chip mulch-bark etc
  • deckings repaired
  • raised beds
  • and full make overs!

Tidy of gardens (hedge, lawn, borders)

Ben is really polite and friendly and was able to fit in a tidy of my garden at short notice. Borders were thoroughly dug over and weeded, lawns were mowed and edges strimmed, and my hedge and shrubs were cut back. I am so pleased with the work that I have asked him to take on regular maintenance of my garden.

Mended fence and put in two new garden gates.

Fitted new side gate

I am delighted with the quality of the work that Ben has produced today. He quoted me for a gate so that my dogs would be safely contained in the back garden. The gate and the posts are brilliantly fitted and I am amazed that the price reflected such outstanding craftsmenship. I have recommended The Garden Barber to many of my friends and they are all really impressed with the price and quality of the work. I would not hesitate in asking Ben to do any landscaping or fencing work in the future.

Replacement fence panel, garden work, water butt installation

I have employed Ben on three separate occasions with very positive results. Most of important of all, he's honest and reliable. He had a difficult job with my fence panel through no fault of his own, but stuck to his quotation and remained cheerful throughout . I wouldn't describe him as a plants man exactly, but he's versatile and can turn his hand to many outside tasks. He's also a very nice guy and a pleasure to work with.

Ben was a delightful young man really polite and professional. His work is excellent and reasonably priced. He completed the gate and fence I needed promptly with little fuss and worked away quietly all day. Would definitely use again and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Hedge cutting and strimming overgrown areas

Cutting back shrubs and hedges and clearing undergrowth

Ben works extremely hard and does excellent work cutting back, clearing and tidying hedges and borders. I have now used him three days and will continue to do so.
