I researched my "Project" for a perfect lawn and "costed" out the materials in order that I could untertake the work myself, because I did not trust an "unknown" contracter. However John listened to what I wanted done and made several suggestions to improve my thoughts and the dranage systems required. John has resolved various problems around the house from leaking chimney stacks and faulty guttering to hanging new doors in all the rooms. He is very reliable - to the point where he has popped in and sorted out something for us within 45 minutes of me calling as he was on his way past the property when I called. We thought we knew what we wanted to turn the muddy patch left by the builders into a low maintenance garden. We tried to get a number of quotes before finding John through Checka trade. In the event John advised on the design and where to source the best materials and we've ended up with a much better garden than we could ever have imagined. He worked through some of the wettest weather without a break;despite this was really clean and tidy and was always cheerful and pleasant. He's a really excellent craftsman providing a truely value for money service.
