Your original timber windows and doors are part of our Architectural Heritage. At Timber Window Renovations we believe that the restoration, repair and draught proofing of your original wooden windows will:-

1. Retain the style and character of your home.

3. Give many of the benefits of replacement windows and doors at considerably less cost.

The carpenter came on time each day - very punctual.  He was friendly, able to answer questions and he left the flat clean and tidy on both days. Finished the job in time as established previously.  Some money was deducted from the estimate as some materials were not used. I would be happy to recommend this company.

Manufacture and fitting of 2 pairs of doors and refurbishing of frames.

I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and am very pleased with the finished doors. The workman was friendly, punctual, diligent and was very particular in cleaning up each evening.

Refurbishment of large bay and smaller sash windows

I cannot commend this firm too highly. From the first contact with Phillip, until the completion of the work by Andy we experienced professionalism of the highest order (despite more snow than we have ever experienced here). The replacement window is an exact match, and the draught proofing really works, even on 100yr+ windows. We will be saving for more windows to be refurbished. Highly recommended.

Repairs to sash windows x 3 in lounge

At the time of quote, I was told there would be no more draughts, however, on completion I still have draughts and the trader has said there is no more he can do.

I fully explained to the customer at the time of quote that with sash windows there is always a possiblity of some small draughts, although we assure them that 99% of draughts would be improved. I have discussed this with the customer since the work was carried out, and apologise for the fact that the customer feels let down. These windows are box sash with spring balances which have a larger diameter than a sash cord, and consequently a small draught can sometimes be felt where the spring balances are fitted into the bottom sash. Unfortunately, this is a problem with sprung balance sash windows.
