There are two side's to our company - Building works & Structural Repairs / Damp Proofing.

Specialising in all aspects of Damp Proofing - Rising Damp - Penetrating Damp & Condensation Control. Preservation/Restoration & Water Proofing in old & new build. Including - Thor Helical Structural Repair Systems.

Our Surveyor holds the relevant CSSW Structural Waterproofing qualification and provides a detailed specification report for each project & oversees each job through to a satisfactory completion.

We provide survey reports on all aspects of dampness in buildings including basement waterproofing and flood alleviation. Our damp and waterproofing design specifications are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of £100,000.

Our survey process is to learn about the problems you are suffering from, understand why they are happening, explain the processes to put them right. We are thorough in our approach and our workmanship.

Installed Kair Flat Ventilation System

Work was carried out efficiently and neatly and clearly every effort had been made to clean up afterwards. The work took longer than scheduled - into second day - due to difficulty boring holes through re-inforced concrete (not anticipated) but this did not inconvenience me as flat is unoccupied at present. Allround a very friendly and helpful workforce. Very satisfied with outcome and would recommend this firm.

This is now the fourth time that I have used Richard and Dan and have two more jobs arranged for 2012. Fitted anti-condensation unit, sterilisation and painting of interior of property.

Richard is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what the problem was, his correct diagnosis enabled us to understand what was required to rectify the situation, and to understand the time it would take to do the work and the costs involved. We have an elderly tenant in this property and we needed the work to be carried out quickly, all before Christmas! Richard and his team did an excellent job, very efficient and work was carried out to superb standard. I cannot speak highly enough of Richard and his team.

Fixing a damp problem and re-plastering

We had a damp problem in our hallway and a number of contractors looked and quoted for the work. Top Joints were the only company to properly look into what had caused the problem and did not automatically assume we had rising damp (old house, no DPC). It turns out a leaking stop cock was causing a localised problem, yet everyone else tried to sell us a DPC. Once the real problem had been identified, Top Joints' quote and plan of remedial action was very competitive and we were happy to give them the work. Hacking off all the old plaster was a very noisy and messy job but we feel it was contained as well as it could have been and the boys cleared up after themselves each night and tried to be as unobtrusive as possible. The new plastering has been done to a high standard and a nice smooth finish and subsequent tradesman who have done decorating work in the same room have commented on the good finish. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and polite and queries were responded to quickly and professionally. I would recommend Top Joints.
