Manny and his team at Top Spec have done a fantastic job of our driveway, working in the difficult cold conditions leading up to Christmas. The job involved removal of an ugly 70s concrete driveway that was too steep for me drive down it into our garage. This was all levelled off and then replaced by a wider, flatter block paved driveway with parking for two cars and a much neater drainage solution using ACOs. We were given complete choice on colour, as well as good advice on borders and patterns. They also ensured that the driveway slope was levelled sufficiently such that I can now easily get the car in the garage. Progress was swift, yet throughout the works the site was kept neat and tidy and all debris was removed from site promptly. I am really impressed with the driveway and it has really helped smarten up the front of our house. As a result I would happily recommend Top Spec Paving to anybody planning on replacing their driveway.

From the very start, Manny and his team did and excellent job of laying a block-paved front driveway and path, and a rear patio. He arranged to meet us twice to discuss options and pricing before we settled on a final quote. We then had full choice over material selection and got help choosing exactly which blocks and flags would suit our house the best. We were shocked by the speed of progress on the first couple of days and were very pleased that the work finished earlier than anticipated and on budget and with only a small amount of tidying needed afterwards. We were particularly pleased with the extra care taken with the patio and that the team used a Geofix paving joint compound to colour match the flags rather than pointing with cement. It was great to see personable, experienced, workmen that were proud of their finished product- we fully recommend them!

Manny and his team were a pleasure to deal with. They carried out the work so quickly and efficiently. We were very pleased to arrive home after their first day, to find a very tidy working area, even though it had been raining heavily during the day. The team arrived punctual every day and finished our driveway to a very high standard. I would recommend them to anyone - they happen to be a really nice bunch too. They even did a repair to our existing driveway at no extra cost - truly professional.

An excellent job all round. Arrived on the dot of the stated times and worked very hard. The foreman, Darren, was cheerful and helpful and they even took some trees out while they were here. The site was left very tidy and I didn't have to clear anything up. If you want a drive laid, use Top Spec

I highly recommend this company.  They are a reliable, hard-working, polite and friendly team who at all times liaised with me the complex aspects of the job. The job involved excavating several flower beds, removing various trees and re-draining the site and then installing rather delicate teak sandstone which was butt-jointed.  This is a well run company who is an expert in their field. The finished result is better than I expected and I’ve asked them to quote for a further piece of work.

The estimate for patio/path was out by over 38% costing much more than quote, the replacement of steps was not satisfactory and the attitude of the owner was very aggressive.

Response from Topspec Driveways Ltd:
The price increase was due to the customer choosing slabs that were slightly more expensive than the ones quoted in the original estimate, the customer was aware of this prior to work commencing. We gave a discount on the final bill. We were unable to complete the job to time scale as the customer wanted to build the wall, we returned to the property once this was completed, unfortunately we were unable to build the step as we would have liked to due to the construction of the wall, the customer phoned, to say he was not happy, he was very abrupt and aggressive. We agreed to return to the property to resolve the problem, but the customer did not keep the appointment, we left a card to say we had called but he did not get in touch again. The next we heard was when we received notification of this negative feedback. We are a family business trading for over 16 years, most of our work comes from recommendations, which if new customers look back on our feedback cards they will see our high scores and comments. We pride ourselves on our good workmanship.
