Total Contracts is run by Simon Fox, who has over 30 years experience in building and refurbishment work. We specialise in loft conversions and house extensions varying from flats to 4 storey town houses. We also complete any electrical and plumbing installations or alterations which are done by qualified tradesman only.

Being NHS contractors for many years we realise the importance of completing to an excellent standard, on time and on budget. For this reason we employ the same team of tradesman to complete all jobs to the highest quality.

Rewire, gas central heating system. Kitchen and bathroom.
Simon and Aaron rewired my entire house. They also fitted a complete gas central heating system. They installed a new kitchen and bathroom to a very high standard. This included all tiling and decorating. I would highly recommend them.

Soil pipe removed from bathroom and kitchen and fitted to outside wall. This necessitated refurbishment of the 2 rooms. Also had cloakroom suite replaced,plus solid wood oak flooring laid and an elaborate artex ceiling plasterboarded.Skimmed and whole room redecorated.

Simon and his team are all very competent men and a pleasure to have around. They work hard, have good camaraderie and were really obliging,always seeking to work around us and our requirements. Their legacy, a home which we can enjoy and feel proud of.

Loft extension

Cannot recommend Simon and his team highly enough. Came up with ideas which architects hadn't which maximised space. Every member of the team were beyond helpful and considerate to us as a family with young children and a newborn. Huge attention to detail and very high quality finish throughout. We are delighted with the work. Simon is an absolute credit to his profession.

Complete renovation of house rewired new central heating and fitted bathroom and kitchen.

Complete internal refurb of a 1930's semi

We asked four different builders to quote for the work. Simon seemed to be the most in-tune with what we wanted. We visited several of the sites he was working on at the time and were very impressed with the quality of work and the calibre of workmen he was employing. Work started in Feb 2011 and took approx 12 weeks during which time they completely gutted the house. We had a new kitchen and bathroom installed, complete electrical re-wire, and the whole house was decorated including the laying of engineered wood flooring to the downstairs. I work in the interior design industry and have seen many building sites in my time. I have also seen properties finished to a varying degree of standards. The work that Simon and his team carried out was exemplary. Our particular pride and joy is the bathroom which we were very concerned about. We had spent a lot of money on top-end fixtures and fittings and were nervous about not using the specialist installers recommended by the bathroom company. The finish is stunning. Every detail was talked through with us BEFORE anything was done and they suggested solutions to a couple of really difficult problems which we just wouldn't have thought of ourselves. The whole team care about the finish of the job and are a delight to work with. Simon gives regular updates by email and via on-site meetings and is always available to talk though any concerns. We would not hesitate in recommending Total Contracts.

All Work was done to the highest standard; valuable suggestions were offered to us; the whole team was professional, courteous and friendly. They were very co-operative and flexible in re-organising the work schedule to fit our needs. We would give them 10 out of 10 on all counts, would employ them again, and would heartily recommend them. Move load-bearing wall to create larger room, install new kitchen

I found Total Contracts through Check-a-Trade. From the first time I met Simon he gave me a sense of confidence. The whole team was very professional and friendly. I was kept fully informed and consulted about the work on a daily basis. Simon made several valuable suggestions, including fitting bi-fold doors in the wall overlooking the garden, which had not occurred to me. The whole thing was done on time and within budget. Nothing was too much trouble, and the team went the extra mile by fixing a pre-existing and previously unknown problem with a badly constructed floor which came to light during the building work. I am delighted with the finished result, and cannot recommend them highly enough. I would definitely use them again.

Loft Conversion and refurbishment of house

This is the 2nd time I have used Total Contracts. Simon and his team were again extremely professional and easy to deal with. He gave me a timescale, this was met including the additional work I added during the job. I am very happy with the standard and finishes they have delivered and would recommend them to my friends.

Full bathroom renovation and redecoration of bedroom

After going through a complete nightmare with the first group of builders I tried to do the renovation, I was very anxious about getting a second set of builders in to sort out the disaster that they had created. Simon and his boys were very professional and were always readily available to answer my queries which did a lot to put my mind at ease. I was obviously keeping quite a close eye on the renovation after my previous bad experience and nothing I saw made me feel that any part of the job was carried out to less than professional standard. I am doing some further renovation work on the house and Total Contracts will be my first port of call for this as well.
