Bob came quickly to give an estmate (and advice), produced a written quote, turned up on the day he said he would, completed all works to a high level, was tidy and ordered, was a fun guy to have around. He is not cheap, but he is good!! I would be happy to recommend him.

Rear Soffit and gutter replacement. Chimney stacks made safe. Valleys at front of house relined with fibre glass and coating. Repaired mortar on ridge tiles.
Initially the work entailed replacement of soffit and re-fixing of existing gutter and snow-guard. It soon became apparent that guttering and snow-guard needed renewing. Three chimney stacks were also found to be in very poor condition. One redundant kitchen chimney stack was reduced in height to just above gutter for safety and flashing renewed. Mortar joints on and around stacks, and ridge tiles was also undertaken. Cracked zinc valleys over bay at front were relined with fibre-glass material and coated. Good quality repair. I would have preferred a written quote immediately all problems became apparent, with daywork rates for variations plus a percentage to be added for extra materials, as variations in additional works made it difficult to keep track of. Total cost unknown until works were near completion. Payment was by cheque after completion.
