Checking blocked gutter
Alan responded to my request for help on the same day I rang him. He rang to say when he was coming and as the gutter was not blocked, was able to tell me what the problem was so I could ask my neighbour to whom the responsibility fell. He has worked for us in the past and has impressed me with his quick response time, ability to assess the situation and politeness. When another contractor had repeatedly failed to remedy a particular problem, Alan was able to come in and sort it out quickly and effectively. He is my first choice for his line of work and I have recommended him to others.

Complete refurbishment of three bedroom property, new ceilings, flooring, skim coat all walls, new kitchen, new bathroom and replace double glazing
From first enquiry to last clearance of the site every aspect of the work was discussed, esimated and agreed with comprehensive weekly updates and itemised financial statements provided. The quality of work and the materials used can not be faulted and is something the proprietor takes personal management of at all times. A thoroughly professional job carried out to a very high standard and completed without delay.

Study extension to side of house and extension to patio
The building programme was clearly defined in advance, with the targets established for the week ahead. Stage payments were made at the end of each week. The extras we requested were quoted and accepted in advance. Mr Harvey runs a superb team and, sensibly, brings in specialists (electricians, painters, plumbers, patio-layers etc) as required. Their attendance on site was pre-arranged and happened exactly as planned, as indeed was the delivery of the various materials required at each stage of the project. The entire team performed with courtesy (not only to ourselves but also to our neighbours) and were truly professional every step of the way, with the site being maintained in a tidy state throughout. The bonus was that the works were completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule! Highly recommended.
