Company Profile

Charlie Layfield is the Director of Treewise Tree Services Ltd.  He qualified as a Tree Surgeon in 1998 and worked as Head Climber for a few tree surgery companies in Essex, Suffolk and Sussex prior to setting up Treewise in 2005.

Treewise became 'Treewise Tree Services Ltd' (TTS Ltd) in 2009. We believe that all our customers are entitled to the very best in customer service, from initial consultation to completion of each project. To ensure this, we employ a carefully selected team of NPTC qualified tree surgeons who also understand the importance of business accountability and are proud to be employed by a member of check a trade.

We pride ourselves on our operational versatility and are able to provide services to a wide range of domestic and commercial customers, from private land owners, property developers, landscape gardeners, property and management companies to waste management and environmental service providers and local councils.  Our working practices are compliant with all required British Standards including BS 3998:1989, 'Recommendations for tree work' and Government Codes Of Practice.

Two large silver birch trees taken down and stumps ground out

Large Eucalyptus substantially pruned back and bushes tidied up

Excellent quality of work. The thing setting this person apart for us was not only the great work but suggestion of how to shape the tree, not simply reduce the height - at no additional cost incidentally. We are really happy with the end result, which looks far more balanced. We did increase the scope or the work to include trimming of the bushes at the front and rear of house with was an addition to the original quote. All seemed at a reasonable cost and we are left with a garden hopefully we can manage ourselves for a while.
