We saw some railings locally that we liked and knocked on the door to ask who made them, the owner said Urban Iron had done them and they said they were very pleased with the railings and with the company themselves, so they recommended them to us. We then called Urban Iron and Peter came round and gave us a quote which we were pleased with. We too have been very very happy with the service. The company gave us lots of choices on spear heads and end caps. They were professional and had a pleasant manner. The workmanship was accurate and fitting was faultless. Mr Coughlan was incredibly helpful in incorporating our ideas for the railings and came up with great ways of overcoming the difficulties we faced with building a brick wall over a very uneven and sloping path. He was punctual, did not overcharge and finished the job to the highest standard of workmanship, bearing in mind what perfectionists we are! We can highly recommend him.

The work was extremely good and the process of communicating with Peter and his team was a pleasure. Peter was very open to our thoughts and ideas about design whilst giving us sound advice about the practicalities involved. He was fair and made every effort to get everyone what they wanted. His workers were always polite and courteous and kept us well informed of the work they were doing and the times they would be at the house. Our railings are beautiful and much remarked upon.

This job involved installing a divider between two paths, 2 different types of gates, and wall railings for 3 houses - all of which were at slightly different levels. We were all very happy with the standard of the service received prior to commissioning Urban Iron - assisting with the design of railings and gates, providing practical advice and guidance and happily providing quotes for multiple options. Once commissioned they completed the job faster than originally estimated and the installation created minimal noise and mess - you wouldn't have know they had been there at the end of the day The cost of the job was on a par or less than other quotes we received and the time to complete the job was much faster 5 weeks rather than 7-9 weeks quoted by others. I have no hesitation recommending Urban Iron to others

Peter and his colleagues have been a pleasure to work with. They removed our Victorian iron front gate and had this shot-blasted, repaired and repainted. Additionally they made a new gate for the side passage which matches other gates perfectly. Later they then fitted a self closer and added handles to other gates which was in addition to the original quote but all agreed upfront. We are delighted with the quality of work, reliability and courtesy that Peter and his team have shown us and we have already recommended him to a number of friends.

We gave Peter our brief and he both designed and built from scratch a most wonderful and comfortable bed combining wood and metal. He also made a metal mirror to match the very intricate design of another that we had but could not get another one of.
