In my opinion I feel their customer relations were appalling to say the least. We had to initiate every step to have the problems resolved. Even ringing Holland several times ourselves, to achieve this. We did not demand a replacement carpet even though it was a botched job. We a letter from them which typifies their attitude. It is patronising as you will read. We are still waiting for an apology and report from the surveyor

‘We are extremely sorry to hear the customer was unhappy with us. We have spent a lot of time on many occasions trying to explain that you cannot have a very hot fire without the area immediately around it getting hot. We suggested they re-visit our showrooms and look at other similar fires which would be equally as hot. We have not intended to be patronising, only to explain heat transfer.In our opinion I feel that the customer had difficulty understanding this to a point of disbelief so we suggested they phone the manufacturers in Holland who reiterated what we and their user guide/technical information said.Our Terms and Conditions which t customers sign, state ‘cutting of carpets….will only be undertaken at the customer’s risk.’ In this instance the customer’s floor being out of level, made the carpet to hearth joint noticeable and as a gesture of good will we paid for a rug to be made to match the current carpet.This is an alien situation to us which has left ourselves and the customers dissatisfied.I just hope people will search the other comments on this site and draw their own conclusions.’

The agent selling us our house recommended W&H and we were impressed by their showroom and the service there. Their rep talked us through all the options and costs at a time to suit us. The ordering process was smooth and we were kept well informed. On installation day one team fitted a new cowel while the main team took one lot out and put the new lot in - ten hours' work without a break. They went the extra mile in a number of ways and at the end patiently showed us how it all worked despite their long day. Both the products and their installation were of the highest quality. We cannot speak highly enough of this company. They deserve their high marks.

The installation team from W and H Supplies (Keith, Steve and Daniel were all excellent, friendly and courteous. Throughout the installation they worked diligently and efficiently, keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible as well as considering the impacts of dust and dirt on other parts of the house. The job was done properly and where some issues arose I was kept fully informed of what was being done to complete the job.
