4 Week Lounge Transformation
After moving in our property five years ago and living with the existing decor which did not compliment our furniture, we finally took the difficult decision to have the lounge decorated. Our hunt for a reputable decorator did not take long and we happily appointed Wayne de Wet to carry out the work based on his portfolio of references, 30 years in the trade and his achievement in acquiring the award "Dulux Select Decorator of the Year 2008 Winning Finalist". We found Wayne very patient whilst we experimented with the colour scheme and his assistance in finding an Artist who could create a marble effect on our fireplace was exceedingly helpful. Once we moved further into the job it was found that new window sills would be a great improvement to the overall finish and would also help to sustain the new plaster work that Wayne had to apply to seal the wall. Wayne contacted a Joiner who virtually dropped everything and came and fitted five new wooden sills. Wayne removed the old sills, sealed the wall with fibre glass and replastered. In all the previous years of experience we have had with decorators Wayne outshines them all and he is not just a painter and decorator, he is a "jack of all trades" and completes each task with the utmost expertise. He will happily assist with removal of furniture and will even hang pictures if it is requested of him, nothing is too much trouble. Wayne has a wonderful enthusiasm to his work which is admirable and his attention to detail is impeccable. He is honest and trustworthy and any future work that we have done, we would have no hesitation to leave him in control of our house whilst we were away. Wayne transformed our lounge to a very warm, elegant, classy and cosy place to relax. We are very "house proud" and Wayne covered everything with new plastic bags and clean dust sheets. A beautiful job Wayne, very well done.

Redecorated master bedroom
Wayne redecorated our bedroom and we are 100% satisfied with the results. Throughout the process, from giving the quotation onwards, Wayne provided invaluable advice on products, what would work for our house/room and how to achieve the perfect finish. We are now planning which room to have redecorated by Wayne next. His work has made a big difference to our bedroom, it looks lovely now. Wayne really went the extra mile for us as the walls in our bedroom needed a lot of work as did the skirting boards. The two (bare wood) doors were painted white and look fantastic - this has saved us from having to buy new doors because ours now look like new! Wayne is very generous with his time, he even put up a mirror and a bathroom cabinet in the en-suite and coat hooks downstairs free of charge. Good workmen like Wayne are hard to find these days and I recommend him highly. It's great to meet someone who is so enthusiastic about his job. Wayne focuses on giving his customers high quality work and a good deal. We will definitely have him back again for our next job.

making good a number of areas in a detached house after house rental
Wayne carried out a great job putting right a number of problems following an eviction of problem tenants. Although certain areas only had a "patch up" the rooms looked fantastic after only 2 days work. Wayne prepared three rooms for redecoration. This included using carpentry skills to attach the skirting to the wall. He lined and papered and prepared and painting in all rooms.
Wayne is a diligent worker. He is tactful when a client requests advice and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of decoration. He is hard working and thorough in his approach to a job. He is reliable: he prepares all surfaces, is able to use his many skills to fix problem areas and creates an excellent finish. There was extensive work to do in my home however I was quite relaxed about Wayne being there whether I was in or out at work. He took care of all my furnishings by protecting them with material, he was tidy and very organised. He talked about the progress of his work with me daily and discussed what he hoped to achieve the next day. I have heard very positive comments from family members and friends about the quality of work He achieved. I am planning to ask Wayne to decorate other areas of my house and will value his creative ideas and recommendations. I highly recommend Wayne for this award.

Wayne did an excellent job of re decorating our house. Our house was 7 years old and waynes work was far better than the original standard. His decorating and product knowlegde are second to none. We had a nasty settlement crack in our hall, wayne worked his magic to fix it. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Wayne is a diligent worker.  He is tactful when he talks through any problems he has found and is able to provide helpful suggestions. He has a wide range of skills including painting, wall papering, carpentry and general handyman expertise. This is very helpful especially when the work is being completed in a period house where a high level of preparatory work is needed.  Wayne is able to work efficiently and to a high standard. Remedial decoration after electrical rewire
In May 2008 I received a shock when I was told that my house needed an entire electrical rewire. This would involve disruption of the floorboards, walls, etc. and would be a more difficult and messy job, as some of the wiring was really old. What would my home look like at the end of such upheaval?! My heart sank, particularly as everywhere had quite recently been redecorated. How to put matters right? Then the answer came... Wayne de Wet had done the decorating and what an excellent result it was. I would call him. (I felt better already.) As always, Wayne was busy but he fitted me in; and although every room had varying damage, his skill, enthusiasm and ideas, combined with the fine materials he uses, soon brought everywhere together again as if by magic - not even a scar! Once again, Wayne saved the day - and my sanity. There can be no better tradesman than Wayne de Wet, in every respect.
