William George Wilson - WG Wilson & Sons, formed in 1962. Four generations have passed and the company is still trading today and maintaining the high level of reliability and quality of workmanship for which it was originally renowned. Kenn and his team are highly recommended- hard-working, reliable and always positive. Kenn is very good at finding solutions to problems that crop up, is helpful, patient and unfailingly cheerful- all key attributes for a long project.

2 bathrooms (main and en-suite)
Work was extensive and required ripping out antiquated (circa 1982) fixtures and fittings. The estimate was clear and provided good detail of what would be done and the pricing was very competitive. Work was planned well and completed to my satisfaction. The whole team were very courteous and kept me updated by mobile phone throughout. I felt able to make requests (thank you Russell!)and have things done very much to my specifications e.G. Colours, taps etc. Thank you for your hard work and we are now enjoying the new bathrooms! JJ

Kitchen extension and reworking of the downstairs rooms
It was done to time, and without argument, even when the foundations required by Southern Water completely changed the plans they (Southern Water) had apparently agreed. The whole team was cheerful, helpful and kind to clients who hand't a clue what they were doing. Highly recommended to me by a friend who is very, very particular. They did not disappoint.

Bathroom Refurbish and External Re-pointing of House
Ken and his team provided a really excellent service. The original quote was received promptly and was to the correct level of detail required. Correspondence with Ken, whether via text, phone, or email was always very clear and timely. In person, Ken is fantastic to deal with – always on time, able to provide advice, answers and solutions, clearly from a depth of experience. Ken’ s team were equally friendly and highly motivated, taking a real interest and pride in doing the job well. Our bathroom is now a joy to use, having been completely refurbished by Ken’ s team. By some clever use of available space, we also now have much better storage within the bathroom. Outside, Ken’ s team undertook the re-pointing of the whole of the back of our house. Whilst undoubtedly a messy job, this equally was completed as expected without any trouble or inconvenience caused. I hope we made Ken’ s team feel at home – they certainly took care around the house as if it was there own. A plentiful supply or biscuits and tea, along with the DAB radio in our kitchen certainly seemed to help. We would definitely recommend Ken Wilson, and already have done so.

House extension
Kenn is outstanding. He leads a friendly, highly motivated and hardworking team who have been timely, reliable, resourceful and utterly professional throughout. A real pleasure to be around. Kenn’s rates are highly competitive and the workmanship has been excellent. No corner cutting. Kenn works exceptionally quickly and is a wonderfully pragmatic, inventive, quick thinker. He works like Tigger on Red Bull. There are no problems, only solutions. This approach is inculcated in the rest of his happy team, the majority of who have worked with Kenn for years. Specialist sub-contractors were all, like his own guys, first rate. Between them they have undertaken my house extension with the care as if it were their own home. Kenn has ensured that my work has remained within budget, and has completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The end result is creative, beautifully finished and very clean. They go the final mile – and then some. Unsurprisingly Kenn does not need to advertise for work – it is all on recommendation. Enough said.

En suite shower room and new hot water system
This is the fifth project Ken has undertaken for us. He is reliable and very easy to work with. He is proactive and a good communicator so any problems that do arise are solved quickly. His team are a happy crew and the standard of workmanship is high. We will definitely use him in the future.

Kitchen extension and general building (shed, garden walls, garden steps)
From the giving of the original quote Ken and his team were all approachable and easy to have in our home. They arrived promptly each morning and completed all aspects of our job to a high standard. Ken worked hard to ensure our works remained within our budget, giving us advice on things we could complete ourselves to keep the price down, and organising excellent sub contractors to come in to complete jobs like our external rendering. He was also easy to contact at all times if we had any queries. We had seen an extension his team had completed down our road which looked great and this is why we originally contacted him. We weren't let down. Our new kitchen and playroom are fantastic. A special mention needs to go to Dan, our builder, who was an absolute pleasure to have around and worked his socks off for us. We would definitely recommend.
