Mr Woodley always consulted us on all aspects of the work prior to commencement which meant there was no misunderstanding and therefore everything was completed to our mutual satisfaction. Peter and Ben did a wonderful job, in spite of our changeable weather! Ben's brickwork is great, and the bike store is a work of art, it is well supported without the use of uprights, and the cedar shingles were an excellent idea. Our huge thanks to Peter for coming in below quote. Everything was left clean and much tidier than when they started. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Woodmead unreservedly or in using them again.

Peter thoroughly discussed what WE wanted at the estimate stage and explained how the work would be carried out. Peter and Ben were always on time and were very polite at all times. They went out of their way to work tidily and to clean up during what is a very dusty job - even cleaning down the window sills at the two neighbouring houses upon completion. The work completed is exactly as we wanted it and is a very professional job. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them and would definitely consider them for any future work.

Peter Woodley came to give a quote on new loft insulation. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He never gave us the hard sell and as it turns out, he actually said we didn't need to do any major work after all. This has saved us a lot of money. He also gave good advice on some condensation issues we had in the baby's bedroom. Because of our experience today, I wouldn't hesitate to call Woodmead Construction first for any other work we may require in the future. Great service and much appreciated.

We would thoroughly recommend Woodmead Construction. Pete and his team are polite, punctual and courteous and very experienced. Pete is very good at giving advice and explaining things; nothing is too much trouble for him, he will go out of his way to help in any way he can. He is very reasonable in price for the professional and high standard service he provides. Without question we wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any building work, regardless of size. The work in our kitchen/dining room involved removing a stud wall, relocation of radiator and electrics etc and we are more than satisfied with the result! A true professional, and we are very pleased to have found someone we can trust.

As part of our kitchen-diner extension, we also had some alterations made to our existing kitchen, including new tiles. Pete did all the tiling himself and made a very good job of it. We chose tiles of five different shades and we wanted them to look random. Pete took the time to create such a pattern, then put them up all the way round our worktop and along the windowsill. They have helped to transform the appearance of our kitchen.

We had an old upvc front door replaced with a good quality oak cottage-style door with a leaded light window. Pete cut out a letter-box and made sure the door fitted properly. He gave it several coats of varnish, and added black door furniture to give the traditional finish we wanted. To help protect the new door, Woodmead Construction also built a porch with a brick base and oak corner pillar, which was varnished to match the door. It attractively finishes off the front of our property, and is welcoming to visitors.

Having taken over the family business, Pete uses tried and traditional methods. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in the construction trade, so is adept at resolving any unforeseen problems that may arise. Pete and his team all work well together. They are approachable, courteous, efficient, good-natured, hard-working, helpful, quiet, reliable, responsible, sensible, thoughtful and trustworthy. Everyone at Woodmead Construction is professional and takes a pride in their work, which is of a high standard. We had an internal wall knocked down, new external cavity wall re-constructed, three new windows fitted and the entire bathroom re-plumbed, re-fitted and tiled. The work was beautifully done and we are incredibly pleased with the result. They were tidy and courteous and always on time, and were really flexible about arrangements for sorting out tiles, parts etc as we were not home while they were there. What we really appreciated was that Pete was very good at communicating what would be happening on any particular day, what the costs would be of changes we wanted, and at listening to what we wanted/letting us choose rather than ploughing ahead with something we might not like. They also displayed very good taste in anything they had to decide, which was great! Overall very happy with the experience, will definitely use again.
