Clive worked solidly all day and didn't leave until the job was completed and everything was tidy. I am delighted with my fireplace, and was very impressed with how helpful he was in making sure every detail was just as I wanted. He even helped me to source a fire basket! Very professional services by a very competent person at a very competitive price. Clive first did a survey and gave us all the information we needed to order a new fireplace (we ordered a custom-made Lutyens hand-carved fireplace at naturalstonefireplaces.Com. All fireplaces can now be made in Ancaster limestone as well as York stone and are excellent value for money. It was a fairly big job for Clive to install as a new throat had to be created and a new lintel installed. It was all completed on time and with minimal disruption and the quality of the work is excellent. I had forgotten to buy fire bricks for the base but Clive sorted it out for me when he arrived and it did not delay the work. We have already had a few open fires in our new fireplace and it works perfectly! I would highly recommend Clive for any fireplace work!

Clive was very helpful when he came to do the estimate and made some very good suggestions to help us with our purchases. He arrived on time, worked hard and paid close attention to the details such as removing an ugly gas tap and refitting skirting board very neatly. We have a lovely finished product and I would recommend Clive.

Clive advised on fireplace size and suitable fire types and suggested an online site to get a good discount. On the day of the install Clive was on time and made a very good job of the installation. Pleased that Clive came up with the suggestion of hiding a previously unsightly gas pipe under the ground. The new fireplace was lower than the old one, so Clive also had to make good the walls above, but he did an excellent job of this. Would definitely recommend.

Clive started on time at 08.15 and worked comprehensively and diligently through the day to remove an old balanced flue fire, break into the cavity wall, install a lintel , replace the local gas piping and concrete under the floor. Install the gas fire, make good the external brickwork, install a carved stone mantel and slate slips and hearth. He quoted me a rate for the day, but ended up working into the early evening in order to complete the job. His workmanship was great, he did everything I expected and he honoured his quote although it probably took longer than he had anticipated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Clive whatsoever.
