“The repair hasn't been resolved the leak is still coming through the ceiling in to the shop below, and they wont to charge me again to attend the leak, I was quoted £495.00+v.A.T ive just received an invoice for £955.80 ,i had to pay the £495.00 +vat up front before doing the job and wasn't informed of the other payment I was only expecting the price they quoted, and still it hasn't been solved, ive had to call out another company”

Response from A D I Leak Detection:
Upon first enquiry, the customer informed us the water mains was shared by a strip of commercial premises and 20 other flats. There was no internal point of isolation to isolate the cold mains. We made it very clear that this would significantly impede our ability to perform the Leak Detection, without cutting off the water to all the other properties. This is also in our Ts&Cs but the customer was desperate so booked the appointment anyway. We located and repaired a severe leak on a hot feed. The repair was monitored for several hours before departing site. The remaining pipework had become weak due to being submerged in water for so long so we could not eliminate the possibility of future leaks. This was all documented in the customer’s report. When the pipework did spring another leak the customer did not wish to pay for further investigations to resolve the extensive problem. We allocate a whole day for each of our leak detection appointments, but unfortunately we can’t offer free appointments to keep finding and fixing multiple leaks indefinitely. Payment was processed at the end of the appointment for Leak Detection, repair and materials plus VAT as quoted.
