“Rewiring due to new kitchen being fitted. Extremely messy work, 'bashing' holes into coving which impacted the plastering job and cost. Forgot to fit dimmer switch and missed out wires for another light. Told now this is unfixable. Front house lights also no longer worked, contacted twice and ignored. Mislead about fuse board: job was to replace old fuse board but new one only covers kitchen and now told to have what we agreed, house would need rewiring (untrue ). Not received breakdown of job, receipt or certificate, told he'd left it at home and was waiting for me to email him, he'd never asked me to!”

Response from AK Electrical:
It was a messy job, this was explained to the customer before I started and was cleaned up after completion. I didn’t bash any holes. I had to cut out the ceiling which I discussed with the customer before I started as there was no access above. The dimmer switch wasn’t in stock so I put a switch on until it was in stock. I returned and changed it at no cost to the customer. The light was wired in an unsafe manner and again was explained to the customer. The front house lights failed and I again returned and repaired this with no charge to the customer even though the cause was not due to my work but was down to a faulty light switch. The customer was told that the main consumer unit would have to be retained as the house wiring is old and unsafe and would cause problems on a new consumer unit. On completion of the work, an electrical installation certificate was left on site. I asked the customer for their email address so I could send her an electrical copy but I have still not received it.
