“I decided to call this company to check the problem of my dual fuel cooker thinking that the person would be quality to work on this type of appliance. I was wrong! I was charged £78 for checking my wall plug and electric panel under the stairs but he didn’t Check the oven and advise me to wait to see if a water spillage had occurred it might been just wet! I felt that he didn’t carry out a professional job so I call him call back a week later asking to come back again to check the ovens because there was still a dead short.”

Response from Affordable Electrics and Repairs Ltd (Wimbledon & Raynes Park):
called us out telling us her electrical oven wasn't working. Nothing about gas, just her oven was electric. We came out the same day, upon arrival, her husband told us different information from what his wife explained to us. We investigated the fuse box, isolation switch and then the oven to find out where the fault was. we found that her oven had a fault. We could not get the back of her oven off completely because there was a gap pipe preventing us from doing so. We
made this very clear to the husband and wife that we are not Gas Safe and will not work on something we are not qualified to do and that they would need to get a gas man in to remove the gas pipe so we can work on the electric side of the oven. Five days had passed and they still did not get a gas man in to remove the pipe. we did actually tell them verbally face to face and on the phone and wrote it down for them. We wish them all the best, but they did not pay attention to the advice we gave them.
