“We were quoted £660 for 4/5 days’ job to take out and reinstall a sink and toilet. After 8 days of unresolved issues we lost confidence in Mr D J ability complete the job to a standard that we would be happy with. A formal complaint has been raised with him directly. His response was limited, no apology and no offer of compensation for his poor workmanship, he scratched the toilet suite, the tiling was of a poor standard. Picture fully support the work undertaken. He could not fix the cistern to the toilet and advised he would look on the intranet. He fitted small sink and pipes wrong; fitted the toilet in wrong place where we were not being able to close door, when moved he could not sort the down pipes. We feel completely let down by him and his portfolio on Checkatrade. We paid him £570 pounds paid on the 27th of July, a request for another 400 was rejected by us as we had no working system. In addition, the tiles cost £ 300 all have had to be taken off the wall and new tiles sourced. The Toilet cistern costing £600 was also scratched.”
