“The trader was asked to fit a new door to my gas/electricity cupboard, and ensure the surrounds were painted. He roughly quoted £250. I agreed. When I checked the work I was unhappy the cupboard was not dusted, the sanding down was minimal and because no masking tape was applied to the brickwork behind the inlet pipe or surrounds of the door, paint splashed onto it. The trader was upsetI criticised his work and was unpleasant. I paid in full to prevent further problems, as I had a male guest, who the trader was there to intimidate him. There was no contact between them.”
