“We gave the full doors/windows/patio doors business to DTU a in the last couple of years and chose them again for our conservatory. Big mistake as they completely betrayed our trust: we had a leak and a fitter gained access to our property without our permission (climbed over a high gate), attempted to fix the leak (did not work). I only found out about their "visit" by the material leftovers on the ground. No call, no email. DTU now charging me for the replacement of a door locking mechanism that never worked from the start (3 replacement parts in one year) arguing it is out of warranty!”

Response from DTU Trade Windows:
We are sorry to have received this negative feedback and are sorry for any distress the customer may have experienced. With regards to our employee trespassing this has been discussed with the customer, our fitter let themselves into the back garden with the customer’s neighbour. The fitter was disciplined and we have apologised to the customer. The issue with the leak is on the external guttering around the conservatory. The locking mechanism was first reported to us at the beginning of December 2018 and this was out of the warranty period. As a gesture of good will we did return and replace the key cylinder on this door and there was not charge to the customer for this. I am disappointed that the customer has left this review as we have gone above and beyond for this customer as we do for all of our customers, I would please urge all future consumers to see our other reviews for an account of how we conduct our business.
