“The Owner: Fred is ok when he's in control. When he's not in control, he stops short of calling you a liar and talks down at you. I shared with Fred that, 10yrs ago, I had a bad experience, but he went to great repeated lengths to assure me you won't know we've been in the house. Big claims. Showing him every room, I stressed the importance to keep my fantastic window ledges. The main bay window ledge got stripped out to my horror. He denies all knowledge that he said you can keep them. No offer of compensation made. Installers: Leon and Lee - great. Not their fault. 10/10”

Response from Ecologic Windows:
I am very sorry that the customer has felt the need to post a review without discussing with me. I believe my previous 65 reviews as regards my manner and courtesy when dealing with customers speak for themselves. The customer confirmed he was more than happy with the installation we carried out when he gave the installers 10/10. As regards compensation and as a goodwill gesture I have reduced the price of the job by a substantial 10%, though the balance has yet to be paid. Regrettably the issue surrounds the stub cill in the bedroom. I had discussed all the internal window boards and confirmed we would not remove any window boards. Unfortunately, the front bedroom bay window is different construction. It has no window board but a 50mm stub cill which is part of the original wooden window frame. It is normal practice to remove all the existing wooden window frame when installing a PVC window. Had I thought for a moment that he was under the impression this would remain I would have explained it had to come out. My installation manager also discussed this with him at length after the new bay window had been installed and even took the old part to show the customer so that he could see it was part of the original frame and a genuine misunderstanding which I apologised for.
