“Mr Tully started work on our outbuilding without permission. He was holding a £1989.83 deposit (amounting to 60%) for the work on the stables. After many calls to quote for other works he submitted an invoice for "call out charges" etc. When I queried the invoice he refused to start the work for which he was holding the deposit unless I paid the additional invoice. I promptly cancelled the job and requested the return of my deposit, which he refused to repay.”

Response from MET Electrical Ltd:
I quoted and undertook a number of jobs for Mrs Sermon. I also completed urgent additional work at her request, which unfortunately resulted in some confusion about costs.
We take any complaint or feedback very seriously. This matter brought to our attention an area for improvement in how we were managing urgent and additional work. I have apologised to Mrs Sermon, and updated our policies accordingly to prevent such problems occurring in the future.
We provide quality and cost-effective work, and take pride in our customer service standards; striving to ensure customer satisfaction in all situations. I worked hard to address Mrs Sermon’s concerns and I am disappointed that her review does not indicate that this matter was fully resolved some time ago and is not an ongoing issue.
