Drain Doctor Gloucestershire to be featured on BBC DIY SOS

March 1, 2019

Drain DoctorRuth Ryder and Pete Woodhouse of Drain Doctor Gloucester met Nick Knowles and his DIY SOS team at the DIY SOS Big Reveal on the 21st February 2019, to present the well-served family with their newly adapted home in Carbis Bay.

Drain Doctor Gloucestershire travels west to donate its drainage service to a deserving family in Cornwall, to be featured on BBC DIY SOS.

Banbury, UK (25 February 2019) – Local Gloucestershire based Drain Doctor, the UK’s largest full service combined commercial and domestic plumbing and drainage franchise organisation, travelled west to donate its services to a newly adapted home in Carbis Bay, Cornwall, for a family featured on BBC DIY SOS.

Based in Gloucestershire, Drain Doctor attended the Big Reveal on 21st February on the western coast of St Ives Bay, to welcome the well-deserved family into their new home. They also had the opportunity to meet the family, as well as Nick Knowles and his DIY SOS team.

The program, which is due to be broadcast later in the year, involved Drain Doctor carrying out a CCTV survey of all drain lines in and around the property and the provision of a report to enable the planners to decide if any further drainage work was needed.

Carl Butterfield, owner of Drain Doctor Gloucestershire said:” Although we are based in Gloucestershire, we had the opportunity to play a part in this very humbling build project and it has been a real honour for our business to have been involved. I can’t thank my technician, Pete Woodhouse, enough for the hard work he put in over the 2 days he was travelling and on site and for Ruth Ryder, our Office Manager for co-ordinating the project. It is incredible to see the local community of tradespeople coming out in force to make this possible and to improve and transform this richly deserved family’s home in Carbis Bay.”

Pierre Jeannes, Vice President of Drain Doctor, added: “It has been a huge pleasure to have supported this fantastic DIY SOS big build in Carbis Bay and we are extremely proud to have played a part in giving this hugely admirable family a home they deserve. Our team of engineers were able to provide a complete drainage service to this build prior to any major works taking place, and fortunately there were no complications or repairs that needed doing. The Big Reveal was very emotional for everyone and it was great to meet the family who are now able to start rebuilding their lives thanks to the army of local tradespeople involved.”
