Get more customers with Checkatrade
We spoke to Chris from Property Maintenance and Repairs to get his feedback on his experience as a member so far.
“I have struggled with my advertising in the past, trying to get more customers in the diary. I have used alternative competing platforms to Checkatrade before and not had much luck, so I wasn’t sure what to expect… but I loved the look of Checkatrade. The branding is so distinctive and they are a household name, so I signed up to see how things went.
Signing up was easy. Everybody I spoke to during the process was very helpful and helped me to ensure that things went smoothly. The vetting process was quick and simple and the most difficulty I had was with knowing what to put on my page to help make myself stand out!
Since joining Checkatrade, I experienced a significant increase in calls. One of my favourite things about the platform is that I can tell immediately whether a call has come in via Checkatrade or through one of my other advertising methods, thanks to the call tracking numbers they use so that I can get a clear idea of whether or not I am receiving much value for money from my Checkatrade membership.
Although I am yet to explore it in any detail, I also love the idea of having the members area where fellow tradespeople can post and discuss things within a community. This will be an excellent place to discuss any work, ask questions or alert other tradespeople to issues in the area. On the whole, my experience so far is a positive one and I would recommend using Checkatrade for your business”.

That said, hands-on trades, including construction, are still male-dominant industries. Yet there is change happening....Continue reading
Lime mortar is a traditional building material that is composed using the mineral lime and aggregate-like sand before being mixed with water. It’s been used for centuries in building works, and although cement took hold of the limelight (no pun intended) at the end of the 19th century, it is gaining popularity once again.
