J Cook Services
Hi, My name is Jim and I formed J Cook Services on the 1st of November 2010, after taking early retirement from my previous employer, it is a handyman service specialising in all aspects of property maintenance, particularly smaller jobs that the larger guys often find difficult to quote for. I have worked in building and engineering related services all of my life.
My interests are: Scouting (I am an assistant explorer scout leader), canoeing and kayaking with Upper Hamble Canoe Club, I climb, run and enjoy numerous other outdoor pursuits.
Work, I offer, amongst other things: plumbing repairs and small projects (outside taps, basins, loos, washing machine plumbing, unblocking drains etc), small carpentry jobs (door hanging, skirting, architrave, repairs etc), gardening (lawn cutting, hedge cutting, pruning) metal work repairs (gates repaired, ornamental metalwork repairs, welding etc), painting (exterior and interior including preparation and small crack and plaster repairs), I also offer a 'Let me help you' service, if you have a project of your own that you are keen to complete yourself but it is too big for one person or the equipment is too heavy or indeed you lack skills and just want advice or 'a hand' I am happy to help for a small fee that would be less than if you have to employ me for the whole project and you get the satisfaction of 'doing it yourself'
I look forward to hearing from you
