Service gas fire

We hadn't been able to use our gas fire for a while, but Mr Moon did a great job sorting out the problem and had it working again. He also gave us some helpful advice should we decide to have a new gas fire in the future, without any pressure. We would certainly use him again and would definitely recommend him!

Major boiler repair owing to water damage

Ability fitted the boiler in 2013 and did a brilliant job. I have used them to service the boiler annually and they always do a great job This specific piece of work was an emergency call out. The office were helpful from the outset and were clear on pricing and time frame. Daniel who came to sort the issue showed expert knowledgeable of the boiler, identifying faults and resolving them. He worked until late in the ev and followed up at 7.15am the next day. So friendly, reassuring, reliable and trustworthy. Mindful of safety.Parts were sourced and fitted the same day. The cost was below expected. Top job.

Repaired heating pipe pierced with ascrew

Daniel and George from Ability were excellent repairing a heating pipe that I had accidentally screwed into. Ability promise one hour arrival for emergencies, but they arrived within 30 minutes of the call.They made the repair quickly and checked the water system was all back in working order. They even gave advice on drying out and how to avoid the same mistake in future. They couldn't have been more helpful and I would highly recommend them.

Repairing oil boiler

Started off with a boiler service-boiler had locked out-returned to put new controls box in- boiler worked then failed-returned and cleaned connections- boiler worked then failed- returned again and put new fuel pump in - touch woods still working- tried to charge me another call out charge (£110 ) then a director of the company suggested only half call out- I refused as they had never fixed the problem in the first place- had already charged me £250.80 for a part that did not need replacing-Director threatened to get the engineer to take the part out- I refused - put the phone done on me

It’s interesting how things turn out, as that evening I was going to call you, to offer you some previous labour cash back or a free service in future. For one reason or another, I didn’t call and now it is my loss. Hindsight is an amazing thing. So I’ll make my apology public. I’m sorry for being hot headed. It’s very unlike me as I try to live my life in serenity, however the pressure of everyday life doesn’t always allow that. I thought by waiving the labour on that visit was fair, but I left you a dissatisfied customer. I’m grateful that I can learn from my mistakes. This won’t happen again.

Reconnect gas hob

Fitter did not take off his boots or cover them. Left mud stains on hall runner. Competent work but very slow. Took an hour to drop the gas hob into worktop ( no fixings reqd ) and reconnect single gas pipe.
