Removal itself was fine but packing of fragile items was very light. When i brought this up they said it was insulting as they were professionals. Luckily most expensive things were OK, but one fragile flat item (a decorative plate/plaque) in one of the last boxes I unpacked was packed unprotected flat against the side of a box and had broken.
When i contacted them they said they were not responsible because it had been longer than 7 says and made excuses: such as "it was heavy" (it weighs 651 grams!) and said all removals companies break things.
Response from Cleavers Removals Limited
We simply informed the client that a claim had to be made within 7 days after the move date. These are the terms set by our insurers and the client was fully aware of this when booking our services. We would have offered to settle this ourselves but the client said that they did not want to make a claim and then implied that we were not a professional company because we broke a plate. We replied that all removal companies will incur breakages at some point. It is not intentional but unfortunately accidents will happen in this industry.
