Company info

Our aim is to improve peoples quality of life whilst also reducing energy consumption.

I home solutions ltd are a family run business with over 10 years experience of installing spray foam and over 25 years experience of site work, building trade and home improvements. We are an icynene master sprayer contractor and the first to be trained directly with icynene in Canada. We install our foam on sites or domestically and have done work for the NHS ,Land Rover, nationwide construction and log burning companies.

We have two main types of foam both have many benefits of which I touch on below:

Open cell foam is water blown which creates air bubbles within the expansion process. This makes the foam not only flexible but also breathable which allows moisture to pass through it but not heat making it ideal for spraying on to timber ,felt/breathable membranes and depending on which benefits you require metal sheet or brick work. As the foam seal's it creates an airtight barrier against the cold air coming in and the warm escaping thus all but eliminating the cold bridge which is how condensation forms. It also greatly reduces energy consumption which other forms of insulation simply can't match. For example if you where to install a slab insulation ( kingspan or celotex) it would need to be cut to size on site then wedged in which leaves gaps for your warm air to escape, the same can be said for wool-roll insulation in short both are outdated and add very little protection from the cold air coming in and the warm air escaping.

Closed cell foam has liquid bubbles that solidify when the foam cools during expansion. This type of we use for commercial and construction work but it is also ideal for residential cavity wall's,(please note existing any loose fill insulation would need removing and the cavity needs to be more than 40 mm) This is applied in the same way as open cell or injected and forms a rigid barrier whilst adding structural integrity to walls by bonding them together and also holding sheet wall/roof materials in place.

Please feel free to give me a call or send an email. We offer a free home consultation and are happy to discuss cost's over the phone prior to providing a no obligation 12 month quotation
