Kingsgate Projects is owned and run by Paul Stephens, a fully qualified carpenter with 30 years experience working either solo on small specialist projects or overseeing full refurbishments.
Fully experienced in all types of period refurbishment or replacement including wall panelling, alcove cupboards, walk in wardrobes, doors, removal of small ceilings to expose beams and insert Velux window and all interior/exterior woodwork.
Architraves and skirting.
Flooring; lay new laminate/engineered wood or restore original wooden floors. Parquet or plain.

Window repairs and replacement.

Kitchen fitting and refurbishment/ adaptation of existing fixtures/units plus able to combine period pieces with new units to create a contemporary look. 

Create new internal spaces/rooms with stud walls.

Garden carpentry such as putting up sheds, decking (multi level), bespoke planters and troughs, gazebos and fencing.

Paul has just completed a total refurbishment of a 200 yr old town house in Margate taking everything back and then rebuilding and renovating the entire property. This project involved identifying and replacing lathe and plaster walls, tanking a dark, gloomy basement and turning it into an insulated and bright living space, replacing where necessary and repairing woodwork and fusing the two so you can identify the old and new, replacing beams and joists, rebuilding stairs and installing banisters and new rails, restoring and hanging original doors, fitting new door furniture.
