Extension of patio
Superb job extending the patio and tidying up the edging completed by a previous builder. Thoroughly recommend Peter - this is the second job Merriott Builders have done for us and both jobs look fabulous. Built porch over front door. Including ground works...wooden porch structure...tiled roof and lead work.
Demolished and removed old porch. The construction of the porch was done to a very high standard. Initial discussions very detailed and explained what needed to be done which covered all of the stages in the work. Very pleased with work and the finished porch. Very courteous and explained work at all stages and discussed anything that needed to change. Clean working environment. Replace major retaining wall
Merriott Builders undertook a range of work of which the main parts were the removal and replacement of a major retaining wall in our garden and the removal of the stone facing off another retaining wall followed by the rebuilding of a stone face. The first of these was a challenging engineering job because the footings needed to be deep and the height of the wall was almost 2 metres in parts, to hold back the hillside behind. The work was done in a careful, methodical and workman-like way and completed without hitch. The result is excellent. Patio replaced all along the back of house.

Complete back garden redesign including laying of one patio and additional work on an existing patio with repointing. Trees were removed and huge roots were dug up. The back garden was turned over by a digger. A central bespoke path was created. Fence work was installed which allowed for dustbins to be tucked away. Lawn and borders were created. He also built the foundation for a greenhouse which is perfect.
The garden has surpassed our expectations, we are thrilled with the results. Peter is the most hardworking person I’ve met and achieves so much in each day’s work. He is always polite and helpful and takes a lot of pride in his work. He has a lot of creative suggestions to improve problem areas. My friends are very envious of my back garden and have asked for his details.
