We offer a wide range of window shutter materials and styles to suite varying budgets. You may have firm ideas of what you want or prefer guidance as to why some materials just make better plantation shutters than others. Shutters don't need to be a minefield and The Great Shutter Co. will provide free, impartial advice in a concise way to help you find the right solution for your home and budget. Our sister company The Smart Blind Co. specialises in motorised blinds, outdoor blinds, roof blinds and awnings.


Please note we do not repair or install other retailers products. We offer a measure and fit service of our own high quality products.


The Great Shutter Co. was founded by Mike Schnuppe to provide a local service offering affordable luxury to Winchester and surrounding areas. Mike has been at the forefront of the plantation shutter industry for over 20 years during which time he has launched numerous shutter ranges into the UK market for the UK's largest shutter distributor and so knows the materials, profiles and specifications intimately.


Mike also created a shutter partnership with John Lewis retailing the world's best-selling shutters and the Great Shutter Co. offers these exact same quality shutters as part of its product offering but backed up by a truly local survey, measure and fit service with that personal touch.

We have some core principles that The Great Shutter Co. stands for and we believe these will ensure that you receive both the product and design that will result in you being delighted.

Design 

We are happy to provide our advice and expertise for free and design the perfect shutter set with you. We will bring samples of materials, frames and colour swatches so that you know exactly what you have chosen. There is no obligation to use us, but we would love you to love our shutters and the service we provide.
